Happy Fourth of July!

We have tons of fun on the fourth of July. We always go to the Kaysville parade, not really for the parade but for tradition. The whole city of Kaysville is there plus those returning for tradition. My dad is on the fire department so we hung out there and had all the shade in the world as we watched the parade go by. Shade is hard to come by especially since all the big trees were taken down by the wind a few years ago.

Avery slept through most of the parade with all the loud noises and crazy people. She finally woke up for a good feeding and some festive decor. We just love this girl!

After the parade we headed for a BBQ at my parents. Always yummy. Sorry no pictures. I am not very good at the whole picture thing. When Avery was not sleeping or being held, she got to play with cousins Lucy (almost 3) and Molly (11 months). They are both pretty intrigued with Avery.
The night of the fourth, we usually do fireworks with Dave's family but plans changed and they went to city fireworks. We stayed home and Avery struggled falling asleep with all the strange, loud noises. From our house you could see fireworks high in the sky from just about any angle. Let Freedom Ring (just not past 11:00 please - sleeping baby.)
Since Dave's family did not do fireworks on the 4th, we did them on the 5th. Luckily Avery fell asleep at 8:30 and as we walked to Dave's sister's house Avery slept the whole way over, during the show (slept inside), whole way home with fireworks still going on all around and until 5:45 am the next morning! That is right we have a baby that is sleeping through the night!!! Four of the seven nights this week she has slept through the night. Happy Fourth of July!!!
