Owen 11 months

I always say this but time is falling by! I can’t believe that Owen is almost one! He is learning and growing so much! He is all over the place and has no fear. When he falls and bonks it does not even phase him. Sometimes he wants a love and a kiss and wants down immediately but most of the time he gets back up and tries again. He knows how to play hard and has little time for the bottle or for being spoon feed. He prefers to shove as much food in his mouth him self. He likes to try anything and everything that we eat. He says mama and tries to say boo. He loves to play with his cars and be involved with whatever Avery is doing.

He is finally consistently sleeping through the night 11-12 hours a night!!! When he wakes in the morning, he does not make much noise. He plays with his elephant and blankets and waits for Avery to howler across the hallway to say she is awake and then starts singing and banging on his crib. It is funny. I get Owen out first and then have him get Avery by pushing her door open and “jumping” on sister. If we don’t get Avery then he points to her room and voices that he needs her. I love to watch their relationship. They are the best of buds.

Life is pretty busy with both Avery and Owen but we love to have friends. I watch my nephew who is 7 months old all day on Tuesday and sometimes a 4 year old. Thursday I watch a 7 month old, 3 and 5 year old along with the occasional 4 year old. It makes life interesting but so rewarding, both Avery and Owen love it. They love having friends!

Owen this month:

-       He is pulling himself up everywhere

-       Finger walking with mommy and daddy

-       Occasional furniture walking

-       Crawls up the stairs like a champ won’t go down them

-       Says mama and boo

-       Still has an excited scream and can get Avery going too

-       Has three teeth working on another top tooth

-       Plays in his crib for 15-30 minutes before falling asleep for naps

-       Resisted morning naps for a while but back to two good naps 1-2 hours each

-       Loves to feed himself

-       Drinks from a straw

-       Gives great kisses and snuggles

-       Is shy when people talk to him and snuggles into your neck – love it!!

-       Loves to give fives

-       The happiest baby I have ever meet 99% of the day

-       Finally will hold his own bottle!!!

-       Wants to be outside all the time

-       Loves to be with Avery, mommy and daddy

-       Wears 6-12 months clothing and size 3 diapers

-       Loves to read books

-       Uses your finger to touch and feel things in a book

-       Smiles with his whole body all the way to his toes.

-       Such a fun little boy with all the energy in the world.

-       Is loved by everyone who meets him
