Owen 10 months

           

           Oh how we love our little buddy Owen! Time is flying by so fast! He’ll be walking and talking before we know it. I love that he is growing but sad at the same time. He definitely keeps us on our toes.

            I’ve really enjoyed watching Avery and Owen grow together. Owen loves his big sister so much! He gets so excited when she wakes up in the morning to play. Owen is constantly chasing Avery around the house now that he is crawling. They have crawling races too! When Avery is getting her bum changed on the floor, Owen sees it as the perfect opportunity to attack. It is so funny! Avery yells, “No Owen, I am getting cleaned!”

            We finally made it for his 9-month appointment. He is small compared to his cousins and Avery. We love our small little guy!

Owen this month:

• -       He loves to clap his hands and give low fives
• -       He has started to wave
• -       He is crawling everywhere and fast luckily he has not tried the stairs
• -       Has not fallen down the stairs yet!!
• -       He has two bottom teeth and working on two on the top, they are fat, sore gums. Poor baby. He is on Tylenol and teething tablets.
• -       Because of teething he is not sleeping very well at night
• -       Still the happiest baby we've ever meet even while teething
• -       Everyone loves Owen!
• -       Loves to eat anything and everything, tolerates his bottle
• -       Does not do well with bananas still gets a really red bum
• -       Will not hold his bottle or sippy cup
• -       Loves to splash during tub time
• -       Enjoys swinging but not too high
• -       Loves being outside
• -       Is often found pounding on the back door, looking out the window
• -       Adores his daddy, mommy and Avery
• -       Owen expects to be picked up by daddy the second he walks in the door from work. He loves to watch daddy work around the house.
• -       Follows Avery everywhere. They are so cute together.
• -       When his baby cousins (10 months and 7 months) are around he gets really excited. He is the only one that can get around fast. The others army crawls and roll.
• -       Fights his naps when others are around
• -       Usually takes two really good naps 1.5-2.5 hours each
• -       Wears 6-12 month clothing size 3 diapers
• -       Had his first hair cut. His hair was getting in his beautiful eyes all the time.
• -       Loves animals especially dogs
• -       Loves to sing songs
• -       Loves to talk and still has his ear piercing screeches occasionally
• -       Sucks his fist and starting to just get his thumb
• -    We love our little buddy Owen!!
