| We went to the doctors on the 18th and all was well. She is growing like a weed and has a huge head! No wonder it is so difficult to get shirts on and off. We have been worried about her bowel movement. She would go every three days and when she finally went it was terribly painful. We are now on MiraLax daily. It seems to be helping a lot. You can tell when she does not get it because the next day it is rough. I just hope that things will get better soon! Vitals | |

At a young age, daddy decided that he would play with Avery by going behind the couch and peaking out the other side. Well, he got a little stuck this time. :) Avery loves playing behind the couch, and runs/crawls through multiple times a day. In the front room we also have a couch and she is always trying to figure out how it get behind it. Alas, no success yet.
Grandma Diane and Grandpa Carl sent Avery money for her birthday and we got a swing for her and put the rest into her savings account. She loves to play in her swing. Thank you!
Avery knows that things that she can touch and should not touch. How do I know? It is all in her face. We usually have a gate in front of the entertainment center. It was not there one morning and sure enough Avery noticed. We were sitting on the ground reading stories and she popped up and went toward her toys in the corner. Minutes later she was inching her way towards the Xbox with a grin on her face and shaking her head. I said "no, no, no" and she kept going shaking her head with a big grin. She made it and pushed the button on and off making a small noise and green light on and off. The little stinker knows exactly what she is doing. Such a cutie!
Grandma Diane sent Avery a huge package! We were so excited to see what it was! Avery got several things that her birth mom had when she was growing up. She got a easter basket that Danna used when she was 4 years old and looks brand new. A figurine of a grandma loving her granddaughter. On the brims of their hats it says Grandma and Danna Diane. So pretty. It is on our piano. She got two christmas dresses that we hope fit once it starts getting colder again, a cute 2T Minnie outfit, a headband, a necklace and tablet. Necklaces are Avery's new favorite thing. She can take them on and off and she is so proud of herself. She is not happy when I take it off for nap time. This necklace has a mickey mouse that lights up and she is really good at turning it on. She really likes the tablet and is really good at turning it on and off. Thanks Grandma!
Since birth Avery has been in love with my hair. I swear she thinks that it is food. She can find in anywhere, even on the carpet! Well as of late she thinks it is really cool to take my clip out of my hair and put it in her mouth. She really watches me close is all I can say. I put the clip in my mouth as I put my hair up. She has learned my behavior. I have to be so careful around her. I am more mindful on what I do, not that it is bad but maybe it is for a toddler.
Avery loves to help mom with laundry! She loves to ride in the basket of clothes as I carry them down the stairs. She loves to put the clothes in the washer and rotate the clothes to the dryer. She loves to help me fold/unfold the clothes. She has a fascination with the washer and pushing the drum around, so Dave put her in it for a minute and loved banging on the drum and rocking in there. Silly girl! I try really hard to keep the laundry room shut. :)
Avery is the kindest little girl I know. She is always waving. She got these magazine books from Grandma Lori that has kids on the back that we wave to all the time and it has transposed to everywhere else. We wait outside for daddy to come home and she waves to the cars that go by and the people walking on the sidewalks. A neighbor said to me that she is going to cause a accident one day because it is to darn cute! She waves throughout the grocery store and gets so excited when other kids or adults wave back. We have had many conversations with complete strangers because of how friendly Avery is. Occasionally, during dinner, Avery will just wave at daddy. Little eating takes place for her but lots of loves.
This girl loves her daddy especially when it comes to the scooter. She is jumping out of my arms to daddy when the scooter comes out. She is really good and honking the horn and has just discovered how to turn it off. She does not know what she is doing or else she definitely would not be doing it. Four wheeling this summer will be tons of fun!
Avery loves rocks! This is on the side of our house and she loves to play in them!
After trying out four backpacks, we finally got a baby backpack! We are so excited! We've used it around the neighborhood several times to get used to it and see if we like it. We went last week with Karla up Ogden trails and had a great time. Avery loved it, or else she loved to watch the dogs run. We were out for over an hour and enjoyed the mountain air with a beautiful view of the valley. We are excited to continue using it and enjoying the outdoors with our little one!
Avery has a new thing for shoes. She will get them from the laundry room and bring them to the family room and wear them and attempt to walk around in them. Daddy's shoes are the best! She has her own shoes and she definitely has an opinion on the shoes she wants to wear. I love watching her personality grow and develop. Such a cutie!
