Every year we have a kind of family reunion with the Kirby side of the family. They have been going to Upper Coffee Pot in Island Park, Idaho for the past 47 years since someone in the family established the campsite. It is one of our favorite weeks of the summer. This year the new activity was paint balling. Dave purchased five more paint balls making it six that we own and Clair brought two more. We had a blast!
Dave cleaning and preparing the guns!
Tanner - 10 He was a big target for many since he was never hit until game 10-12. And he let everyone know.
Muscles- Jill and Dave Jill got a huge welt on her knee it turned blue and purple
Post paint balling- cleaning again
Throwing rocks in the river - Cannon and Dave
Karla, Bailey and Clair Robinette crossing the river
We saw five deer and five moose
The moose in our camp ground. We were all going to bed about 10:30 one night and Dave heard something in the water so he shined his flashlight and something reflected back. It was the moose's eyes. As he continued to shine the light, the moose proceeded to come towards the light closer and closer to the campground. It was pretty scary but so cool. There was probably 20 people from our party watching the moose. We watched for probably 45 minutes. It was so cool!
The buddies showing muscles to prepare for four wheeling.
Post four wheeling. I choose to be in back since I am still not very good at knowing the roads. There are some really good trails. We had tons of fun!
Chopping wood
Dave is a great cook - Dutch oven pineapple cobbler and homemade raspberry ice cream. Speaking of food, Jana does a fantastic job with food. At one point she was feeding 28 mouths. That is amazing and she prepares almost all of it before hand!
Parker and Cannon running into the screen tent
Tanner and Bailey just relaxing
Photogenic Bailey in the swing
Kenzie and Cannon
Our view down river - Macks is a very relaxing river to float down and canoe up. We also float down the "rapids" at Box. Tons of fun!
Throwing rocks
Thanks Kirby Family for making it happen every year! We look forward to it again next year! Happy Macks Inn!
